GDP & Growth
GDP:
South Africa's GDP is higher then all it's comparable countries being at $595.7 Billion. It defiantly looks like they are good on that because of the growth from 2012 like shown above. Both the developed countries, United States is at 16.72 trillion in the year 2013. Runner up United Kingdom is at 2.387 trillion which are much more higher then Namibia, Madagascar, and Libya like shown above.
GDP per capita:Although the GDP was high for South Africa surprising the GDP per capita is low. Sitting at $11,500 , Libya is only $200 off like shown above. Then Madagascar being the poorest has $1,000 and Namibia the next door county has $8,200. Then United Kingdom ($37,300) and United States ($52,800) have the highest per capita GDP.

Is GDP or/and GDP per capita a problem?
GDP is not a problem in this case for South Africa, they are actually doing very well. But there GDP per capita is lower then what is expected it to be. It's not the main problem for South Africa but I think they have this problem because of their high unemployment.
GDP Growth:
GDP growth for south Africa is at a 2% which can be good compared to other countries such as United Kingdom (1.8%) and United States is at a (1.6%). But since those are more of developed countries a good comparison would be with Namibia (4.4%) and Libya is at -5.1% which is worse off then any of the other countries. Then Madagascar being the bottom ranked on everything else is at a 2.6%.
Is it a problem for south Africa? Well it is not the main problem for Africa because everything leads back to low unemployment. But the bad things about the GDP growth is decreasing, as shown above. 2012 was at a 2.5% and the previous year 2011 was at a 3.5%. So in that case, this is bad because we do want that growth to increase rather then decrease.
