South Africa's new water problem
With South Africa having an abundance of natural resources. In "South Africa—one of the world’s most water stressed countries and one of the largest producers and consumers of coal—the water-energy nexus is a topic of great concern." (theguardian) Well since the water helps with the coal production what happens when it gets mixed with the drinking problem. This isn't so good for the residents because they don't know what kind of chemicals they are putting in their body when the coal businesses use walk that enters the rest of the ecosystems. They need to adresses the issue and find a good solution to stay away from mixing these two together.
effects on the ppc
This diagram shows the effects that the coal production getting into the drinking water system. Going from PPC1 to PPC2 there is a negative shift both agriculture and manufacture. There agriculture would effect more then the manufacture because they are needing to use there water. But it can slowly decrease the number for manufacture if there employers are all sick and they lose some people.
